PetQuest is unique to the grooming show world in that it is the only show that takes place in a completely dog friendly location. Whether you bring your dog or not, the feel and atmosphere of the show is very friendly and down to earth. In may ways, it is the perfect show to meet new people and foster the relationships in the industry that you’ve already made.

The line-up of speakers and seminars is amazing (more on that later), but to many, the most lasting effect of PetQuest is what it does to the well-being of groomers. The relaxed social environment of the show lends itself to rejuvenation and reinvigoration. This is the chance to surround yourself with people who want to listen to you talk about work!

As soon as you walk into the Holiday Inn in Wilmington Ohio, you immediately notice two things. First, the nice, modern convention center is part of the complex, so you can get from your room the show with a short, indoor walk. Second, the staff is friendly and engaging to both you and your dog. The facility is designed accommodate people traveling with their dogs. There are two fenced in dog parks and a permanent bathing facility. According to Judging Coordinator Jill Pipino, “I love the show and facility, but I don’t think it is appropriate for me to pick a favorite show, but my dog, Bucket, is not under the same obligation. He is emphatic that PetQuest is by far his favorite show”.

PetQuest features many brand new speakers and seminars, as well as a return of several of the show’s most popular classes. The AKC S.A.F.E. Salon Certification will return after a year away. Teri DiMarino will be coming back with her very popular Brusher/Bather Certification Class.

Barkleigh Show Promoter, Alyx Robertson believes that this year’s PetQuest, “Has the most exciting line-up of education that we’ve ever had at this show. There are classes for groomers of all skill levels, new and experienced owners, mobile, creative, pet health…you name it, we have it.” ✂
