When I was a fresh, new business owner almost 10 years ago, I was the only mobile groomer in the small community where I live. I was excited to get on the road with my new mobile and start serving clients. Mobile grooming was so new to the area that I had people congratulate me for inventing the concept. No lie!

As I was driving down the aptly named Long Mountain Road just after another snowstorm, I looked to the side and half jokingly thought, “If I drive off the road and land in the ravine, I won’t be found until next spring.” The next thought that crossed my mind was, “ Oh crap, if I drive off the road and land in the ravine, I won’t be found until next spring.”

Equipment Calibration and Mobile Sharpeners

Calibration can be an issue when doing mobile sharpening. I did mobile sharpening in five states down here in the South before I went strictly mail-in for 15 years. Even though your equipment is solid in your van or trailer, going over bumps, hitting pot holes, and going over railroad tracks does vibrate the calibration off.
